Brian is widely regarded as one of the top criminal barristers practising in the UK today. In June 2013, Brian completed his highly successful tenure as Treasury Counsel at the Old Bailey, having been Treasury Counsel for some 16 years, the last two-and-a-half of which had been as First Senior Treasury Counsel (“Number 1” as the country’s most senior practising prosecuting barrister), during which time he was involved in some of the most high profile cases of the day.

Since that time Brian has advised national and multinational corporations at Board level on bribery, corruption, fraud and money laundering, as well as corporate governance, compliance and regulation.
