Cheryl has considerable experience in dealing with all types of contractual disputes and debt recovery cases. She has also acted in numerous company matters including matters concerning; winding up, shareholder disputes, director's duties, off-shore companies and capital gains tax.
She also has experience in making applications to set aside statutory demands, annul bankruptcy orders and applications for the order for sale of land. Cheryl has also appeared in a number of costs hearings in both the County Court and the Superior Court Costs Office.
Cheryl has extensive experience in advisory work on both liability and quantum at all stages of a claim. She is also experienced in drafting particulars of claim, defences, requests for further information, case summaries, grounds of appeal and skeleton arguments.
Personal Injury
Cheryl acts for both Claimant and Defendant in all types of personal injury matters. She has a broad range of experience in the following areas: employers' liability, public liability, road traffic accident, occupiers' liability, psychiatric injury, stress at work and travel law.
She has experience in advising on liability, evidence and quantum and in drafting pleadings. She also appears in infant approval/settlement hearings.
Road Traffic Accident
Cheryl has considerable experience in road traffic accident matters. She acts for both Claimants and Defendants. She has considerable experience in accidents involving motorcycles, Black London Taxis, minicabs and prestigious vehicles. She also has considerable experience in credit hire matters.
Landlord and Tenant/Property Law
Cheryl has experience in property matters including matters involving: wrongful interference, adverse possession, conversion, boundary disputes, easements, rights of way and breach of covenants.
She has acted for both landlords and tenants in matters concerning: service charges/major works, rent arrears, forfeiture and possession claims,tenants at will, disrepair and lease renewals. Cheryl has extensive experience in cases concerning both residential and commercial leases.
