Recent cases
Rebecca was recently led by Charles Geekie QC in a public law fact-finding hearing concerning alleged non-accidental injuries sustained by a child who died. She represented the alleged perpetrator and successfully prevented the local authority establishing all the findings sought.
She also recently represented a mother in long-running private law proceedings concerning allegations of sexual abuse and parental alienation.
In another case, Rebecca acted for the local authority in a nine-day final hearing in care proceedings which concluded with making care and placement orders. Every element of the local authority's case was contested by the parents and the court heard evidence from several expert witnesses.
Professional background
Rebecca graduated in Jurisprudence from St. Hugh's College, Oxford in 2004. She completed the Bar Vocational Course in 2005 before joining the Surrey Police as an Exhibits and Disclosure Officer in the Major Crime Investigation Team. Rebecca became a tenant at St. Mary's Chambers in 2007 following successful completion of a specialist family law pupillage.
