Anita recently acted in High Court care proceedings where the father was a member of an extreme terrorist organisation who had made threats to kill the mother and children. The case contained classified and highly sensitive material and involved issues relating to Special Branch, Tipstaff, and The Identity and Passport Service.
She was instructed in private law proceedings for the mother in a case where the parents of a hearing child were profoundly deaf. The mother suffered from difficulties relating to drugs, alcohol and depression and a secured shared residence arrangement was put in place.

Professional background
Anita graduated in 1987 having read Law at Bristol and was admitted to the Inner Temple the same year. She was called to the Bar in 1988 and completed pupillage in Birmingham. She undertook child protection research in Seattle, Washington from 1988 to 1989. Previously a member of chambers in Northampton and Peterborough, Anita joined St Mary’s in 2014.
