Chancery and Commercial
Daniel has a breadth of experience in a range of chancery and commercial work on all tracks, representing private individuals and companies of all sizes.
Daniel has a growing wills and probate practice, including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975 and advising upon non-contentious practical issues.
Daniel also has experience of both private and corporate insolvency and appreciates the impact of such issues on all areas of his practice.
Employment Law
Daniel regularly appears in Employment Tribunals across the country on behalf of both of Claimants and Respondents. Daniel has also appeared in the Jersey Employment Tribunal.
Daniel’s practice incorporates all areas of employment law including all forms of discrimination, unfair dismissal, protected disclosures, holiday pay and TUPE claims. Daniel has recently represented a large national retailer in a complex discrimination and protected disclosure claim involving six claimants.
Family Finance
Daniel accepts instructions in all areas of family finance. Daniel has a particular interest in cases involving business assets or trusts.
Personal Injury and Professional Negligence
Daniel has experience acting for both Claimant’s and Defendants in RTAs, employer’s liability, Highways Act, Occupier’s Liability, Animal Act and Consumer Protection Act claims, as well as various forms of professional liability including clinical negligence.
Daniel is regularly instructed to advise on merits and quantum both in conference and in writing, as well as drafting pleadings and schedules of loss.
Property
Daniel undertakes all forms of property work including social and private residential property, commercial property, TOLATA claims and neighbour disputes.
Daniel regularly appears in the County Court, as well as the Property Chamber first tier tribunals.
