Profile description
Richard sees himself as a problem-solver, calling upon his past experience as well as his legal acumen to provide solutions for his clients. He is an accredited Mediator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Richard spent some 8 years in the Armed Services prior to working in the engineering industry. After some years with Hawker Siddeley he became the CEO of a company involved in the European oil and coal industry. When this company was acquired by Baker Hughes of the USA he decided to pursue his life-long interest in the law and obtained a 1st Class Honours degree in law (followed by a Masters degree in Legal Practice and a Diploma in Planning & Environmental law), before being called to the Bar in 1997.
Richard is a member of Chambers Mediation group.
Richard has undertaken the Bar Council’s course on Public Access and regulalry accepts instructions in area’s of his specialism
Richard is a Director & Trustee of Welwyn Hatfield Citzens Advice Bureau.
Richard is an approved pupil supervisor and Chair of the St Albans Chambers Management Committee.
